The invention relates to packaging for an optically readable disc, the type of which relates to compact discs, to overhead discs or to records on a compact disc. Packaging is standard and can be used to transport discs of various diameters in the order of 20-30 cm. Packaging will be used in various industries, in particular, in the electronic and video industry.
The purpose of the invention is to improve the ease of servicing the optically readable disc and fixing the disc with a central hole.

The package is intended for an optically readable disk, for example for an overhead line disk having a diameter of about 20 or 30 cm. The package contains mainly flat support 19 which on one side is provided with locking means 29 and a cover 3. The locking means 2 serve to hold the disk in position parallel to the support, and in a way that ensures its easy separation. The locking means allow the disc to be held on support 1 in a position parallel to the support and so that it can be easily removed from the support. On one side of the support, the package comprises a lid 3S which in the closed position covers the side of the disk 4, remote from the support 1.
To remove the disc containing the center hole 5 from the package
the cover is easily removed from the support. The cover and the support are provided with fastening means and can be attached to each other by sliding. The fastening means comprises sliding elements 6 on opposite edges of the cover 3 near the front side of the cover and the support part 7, which cover the sliding grooves 8 at one end and below which the elements 6 enter. At the back side of the cover 3, the fastening means comprise a sleeve-like part 9 which the second side 10 of the support contacts. The fasteners interact with each other at a slip distance which is equal to the length of the slip elements 6, i.e. only part of the size of the cover 3 is less than half the size of the cover measured in the direction of sliding. Thus, the lid 3 should only be mobile at a short distance in order to allow its easy removal from the support.
At one edge, the support comprises a grip 11, which is not covered by a lid in order to allow the support to be held with one hand while the lid or disc is mounted or removed with the other hand.
The lid contains a flat covering part 12 which, in the installed position, covers most of the support and completely covers the disk located on the support.
The lid further comprises a rear wall 13 arranged perpendicularly to the covering part 12. The bottom wall 14 is connected to the rear wall and extends parallel to the covering part 12, the size of the bottom wall 14, measured perpendicular to the rear wall, smaller than the size of the covering part. The bottom wall 14 is connected to the covering part 12 by means of the side walls 15S so that the bottom wall 14, the side walls 15, the rear wall 13 and a part of the covering part 12 together form the sleeve-like part 9 of the lid.
The support grip 11 is located at the edge of the first side of the support, which runs perpendicular to the direction of sliding of the lid. Opposite to this edge of the first side is the second side 10 of the support, which is included in the sleeve-shaped part 9 of the lid 3

The bottom part 16 of the support has slots 18 which extend from the second side 10 of the support and with which the side walls 15 of the sleeve-shaped part 9 of the installed cover are in contact. Close to the second s, of the corona 10 of the support 1, the bottom part 16 of the support has an opening 19 which extends below the part of the inserted disc. When the cover is installed, this hole is completely covered by the bottom wall of the 1st cover.
The package may be provided with an inner layer 20, which can be printed and which is made, for example, of paper or cardboard. The inner layer contains a covering part 21, which covers at least a part of the covering part 12 of the lid 3 at the side of the covering part that faces the disk 4.
